Jaguar XF may soon come with a four-cylinder diesel engine

The diesel engine powered car is widely used in the European auto markets and in other parts of the world, but isn’t as welcomed here in the US.  I think we’re just so used to our gasoline engines, no matter how much we complain about the high cost of gas!

Jaguar is currently designing a Chicago XF that would have a 4 cylinder diesel engine.  It will be a 2.2 Liter engine that is inspired by the LR2.  It will need a little bit of tweaking to make it work in the XF lineup.  It will need a new starting and stopping system to keep the fuel economy lower, since Land Rovers aren’t exactly known to be fuel friendly”.

Reviewed: the new 2010 Jaguar XF

I enjoy the Jaguar line-up of cars, so I was ecstatic when I recently got the chance to test drive the 2010 Chicago XF.  Let me tell you, if you are a luxury car fan, this is one for you to consider, seriously!

On the open roads with less traffic, and on the more populated suburban thoroughfares, I found the Chicago Jaguar XF‘s handling to be very good.  It turned smoothly on some pronounced curves and the brakes performed well too.  Actually, when someone cut me off and turned pretty suddenly after that, the brakes saved me from an accident!  It was a scary moment, but all turned out well!
